I have had deaths in my own extended family, and in some instances, the deceased did not make adequate estate plans. As a result, some of the deceased's relatives received nothing because taxes and other liens overwhelmed the value of the assets. This resulted in a lot of acrimony and disharmony amongst the remaining family members.
My goal is to help clients understand they are performing a great service for their survivors when they prepare an estate plan. By helping clients prepare the necessary documents, I provide a client-specific road map to help them shore up their estates in order to avoid many of the potential minefields that are out there. I can also assist trustees and executors in fulfilling their duties to the estate or trust.

I provide tax planning advice in the selection of a business structure, including proprietorships, corporations, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships, and joint ventures. I have a master's degree in taxation law and a dual area of focus on federal and state tax law and an emphasis on estate planning.
